Applications for 2023 James Madison Fellowships are open. The James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation offers $24,000 James Madison Graduate Fellowships to individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution at the secondary school level. Fellowship applicants compete only against other applicants from the states of their legal residence. As funding permits, the Foundation plans to offer one fellowship per state per year. Thanks to the philanthropic support of the Tracy H. Dickinson Foundation, the James Madison Education Fund, Inc. has been able to fully fund a 2023 Admiral Paul A. Yost, Jr.—James Madison Fellowship. This specially funded James Madison Fellowship is designed to attract those who have served honorably in the U.S. military to join the ranks of civics teachers preparing America’s youth to inherit the helm of civic rights and responsibilities.
