Apply to attend a 5-day onsite professional development program at Mount Vernon that delivers inclusive 18th-century content, inquiry-based classroom resources, and best practice strategies for connecting Washington and the diversity of the 18th century to students’ lives today. All educators (K-12) in a formal school setting are eligible to attend. We seek and welcome applications from educators of varying backgrounds and leadership experiences to explore the history and ideals that make us all different, and inspire diverse interpretations of George Washington and the world he lived in. Full scholarships, which include transportation reimbursements, are provided to all attendees. Limited spots are reserved for returning program alumni. Applications due January 16, 2023.
