Nearly 30 naturalization ceremonies organized by the Federal Courts were conducted across the country as part of Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. Constitution Day honors the signing of the Constitution in 1787 while Citizenship Day recognizes all individuals who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become U.S. citizens. The oath of citizenship was administered to an estimated 8,500 citizens.
