If you emigrated to the U.S., were you a child or an adult at that time? Did you make the decision to come? In the second program of this series, we examine how one’s age at the time of immigration affects assimilation into language, culture, politics and work life. After short statements from panelists, audience members will share their experiences so that we all can begin to better understand the complex dynamics of cultural assimilation. Teachers will receive a resource guide on how to use HSP primary sources in lessons and discussions about immigration issues.
This free program is on March 23, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
